Position Description
Under general supervision, performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures; performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Serves as a technical resource for customers and other staff. Adheres to all safety policies. Performs other related CLS functions as required. The description and qualifications of this position have been slightly modified as of 5/11/2026. * Please note that this position has 2 openings: one opening to be hired at the CLS level and one opening to be hired at a CLS Specialist level. *
Qualifications
For Clinical Lab Scientist: Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license. Applicable clinical laboratory experience. For Clinical Lab Scientist, Specialist: Bachelor’s degree with a major in an appropriate scientific field. Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license. Minimum of two (2) years of relevant Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience. Demonstrated advanced technical knowledge within the applicable specialty area.
