About this position
Position Description
Under supervision, perform a variety of operations involved in driving and parking vehicles for guests. The duties includes and are not limited to maintaining excellent customer service standards; issuing ticket receipts after inspecting and documenting any prior vehicle damage; retrieving vehicles in a timely manner; collecting and securing cash and issue receipts; writing down vehicle information and location on valet ticket; tagging and maintaining keys; and performing other duties as assigned. Performs additional duties: Ensures that appropriate service standards are maintained with all front-line staff. Ensures that visitor issues are resolved to meet the service expectations of UC San Diego Health.Serves as backup to Supervisor during absences.
Qualifications
Must hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/ procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program. Two (2) years of relevant valet and/or hospitality experience required. Skills, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. Strong customer service skills.
