About this position

Position Description

This role is the critical link in the continuum of care for patients with Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs), including pacemakers, ICDs, and ILRs. The CV/EP tech will combine advanced technical expertise with compassionate patient interaction, supporting both in-person clinical interrogations and remote monitoring transmissions to ensure optimal device performance and patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities In-Person Device Management - Clinic; ED and inpatients Perform comprehensive interrogations and programming of CIEDs from all major manufacturers -assessing battery longevity, lead integrity, and sensing/pacing thresholds. Optimize device settings based on physician protocols and patient symptoms. Remote Monitoring Manage and triaging daily alerts from remote monitoring platforms Identify and escalate urgent arrhythmias or device malfunctions to the EP physician in real-time. Ensure patient compliance with home transmitter setups and troubleshooting connectivity issues. Clinical Documentation & Administration Provide accurate, timely documentation of all findings in the EMR and device tracking databases. Coordinate scheduling for routine follow-ups and urgent device evaluations. Educate patients and families on device function, EMI safety, and the importance of remote monitoring..

Qualifications

Completed certification training from an accredited CVT school or Electrophysiology program. BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date. A minimum of one (1) year experience with cardiovascular monitoring, auxiliary equipment in an electrophysiology lab. Experience with CIED interrogation/programming (Abbott, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, Biotronik.
