About this position
Position Description
Under general supervision, the Rehabilitative Services Aide reports to the therapists of a particular service and provides both direct and indirect patient care services. Primary functions include assisting with selected patient treatments under the direct supervision of a PT /OT/SLP, assist with patient transfers, patient exercises, patient ambulation, departmental and equipment maintenance and cleaning, clerical duties, scheduling, patient registration and other activities as directed. The Rehabilitation Services Aide works primarily with adult and geriatric patients from a diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, although pediatric and adolescent patients may also be treated. May be assigned to flex or float between sites, clinical areas in inpatient or outpatient care as well as weekend/holiday coverage as needed. Actively participates in departmental and organizational programs, including performance improvement activities, in services and staff development activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A minimum of two (2) years experience working with Rehabilitation patients or a combination of education and training related to a rehabilitation setting. Skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
