About this position
Position Description
Under general supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and/or Supervisor, the Pharmacy Technician III position assists the pharmacist in the preparation of medications for patient use (oral and parenteral) according to established procedures; assists in the distribution of medications, record keeping, and billing functions; maintains inventory levels; performs assigned operational duties in a scheduled area and will assist pharmacists in completing medication orders and related distribution duties in the assigned areas. The Pharmacy Technician III may also assist the pharmacist in performing best possible medication histories for patients.
Qualifications
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) issued by PTCB. Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy. A minimum three (3) years of relevant experience. Experience in project management/system responsibility (e.g. Pyxis, narcotic control, QI, or pharmacy buyer/biller/analyst); OR is a Pharmacy School graduate; OR expanded responsibilities over several areas OR possess a Pharmacy Intern License.
