Position Description
Under general supervision of the Manager of Outpatient Psychiatry Services La Jolla, the General Psychiatry Therapist provides all aspects of psychosocial mental and behavioral health services including primarily brief short-term individual and group therapy, diagnostic evaluations, assessments, treatment planning, care coordination, and case management. The therapist will work closely with clinical and administrative leadership to improve access to care and foster collaboration across UCSD Health psychiatry settings and programs, including Inpatient Psychiatry. The therapist will also be involved in case management procedures and coordination to best connect patients to psycho-social and community resources. Serve as liaison with other Psychiatry Division providers. Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team. Qualifications
Master's Degree in related area A valid California license as a mental health provider (LMFT, LCSW or LPCC) in good standing. A minimum of two (2) years post MSW experience. Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
