About this position
Position Description
Under general supervision of OR leadership. Supports Clinical workflow through pick-up and transport of conscious, semi-conscious, and/or unconscious patients between treatment areas and nursing units via wheelchair, gurney, or bed. Lifting, positioning, and transferring patients requiring moderate to total assistance. Assists with transport of patients, equipment, labs, and other transport as necessary. Responsible for set up, maintenance, and cleaning operating room equipment; delivers and retrieves equipment, assuring equipment is always available and in good condition; maintains appropriate supply inventory for items such as - OR solutions, personal protective equipment, and gas tanks for surgical procedures. Other duties as designated.
Qualifications
Two (2) years of related experience. Effective written and oral communication and time management skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must have equipment pick-up and equipment handling storage experience. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to lift over 50 pounds and able to push/ pull a gurney or bed with patients weighing up to 300 pounds.
