Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. Qualifications
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing. Must possess a valid California RN license. BART or BLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date. Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification. Limited OB Ultrasound Certification or commitment to achieve certification within 6 months of hire. Recent Labor and Delivery RN experience. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities, and to quickly assess moderately-complex problems to develop potential solutions. Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and consistently demonstrate empathy and kindness to all staff and patients. Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and communicate with team in a positive and calm manner especially when clinic is busy. Able to triage symptomatic phone calls and manage the Epic In-Basket messages in an expedient and timely manner. Seeking a candidate high engaged, proactive, and with a can-do attitude Adaptable and flexible for clinic needs and desire to learn new skills. Able to perform the Charge Nurse Role in a rotation basis and oversee the workflow of the clinic. Able to perform NST/AFI’s in Antenatal Testing and flexible assignment on a rotating basis. Able to work independently in our Hillcrest OB Clinic on a rotating basis. Strong desire to positively contribute to the team and possesses a strong work ethic. Must have excellent skills to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and external constituents, both verbally and in writing.
