About this position
Position Description
Under the direction of the clinic manager, providers, and licensed nursing staff, this position performs patient care duties requiring specialized knowledge and training in accordance with the California Business and Professions Code and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards. The role will primarily support multi-specialty clinics with a focus on Cardiology and Stroke.
Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant training program. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date. Recent experience as a medical assistant. Demonstrated medical terminology. Demonstrates initiative and strong prioritization skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
