Position Description

Our innovative Concierge Medicine Program, located in La Jolla, delivers highly personalized, coordinated care through leading-edge medicine and advanced technology. The practice serves patients ages 10 and older.The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a key member of the Concierge Medicine physician team, helping you get timely access to care with same-day or next-day appointments. The APP supports seamless continuity of care by managing follow-up on laboratory results, prescribing medication refills, and coordinating referrals to specialty services as needed. While not required, a cover letter is highly recommended when applying to this position.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate from a physician assistant program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). California Physician Assistant (PA) license. Current PA Certification from NCCPA. BLS/CPR or BART certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date. Minimum three (3) years of licensed work experience as a Physician Assistant in Primary Care, Urgent Care, and/or Concierge Medicine. Proven knowledge of common diagnostic tests, exams, and procedures used in the clinic. Must understand purpose, required supplies and/or equipment, how to perform procedure accurately, infection control, and accurate documentation of medical chart. Ability to perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations, identify key medical concerns, and develop appropriate, patient-centered care plans. Ability to independently manage a patient load with accountability for quality, continuity, and outcomes of care, with the ability to manage fast-paced workflows and high patient volumes Demonstrates advanced clinical judgment and critical thinking to assess, manage, and evaluate patients in a high acuity ambulatory setting. Proven ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with physicians, laboratory personnel, and interdisciplinary care teams, demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness, and a commitment to a high-touch patient experience. Exceptional relationship-building skills with patients, referring physicians, and administrative teams, fostering trust and a seamless care experience. Comfort with and commitment to facilitating timely, accurate, and confidential communication between patients and the care team. Demonstrated ability to proactively anticipate, prioritize, and address the individualized needs of a concierge patient population.
