About this position
Position Description
The Senior Principal Trainer is a seasoned Epic trainer with many years of training experience, ranging from Epic implementations and Epic upgrades to ongoing support for a series of Epic modules. Process improvement is a key role of the Senior Principal Trainer and hence experience with Lean Six Sigma is a plus. In addition, this role drives technical innovations for the Epic training team and spearheads the development of digital content. This position will mentors peers and assists with Epic training environment build requests, related trouble-shooting, and special projects as needed. The Senior Principal Trainer is not only an outstanding trainer and great coach but also a strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training in EMR healthcare training, instructional design, or curriculum development, preferably with Epic, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus five (5) years of related EMR healthcare training and instructional design experience, preferably with Epic. Related experience may also include: healthcare information systems support experience in academic medical centers or large integrated health systems. Advanced knowledge of health care information systems. Advanced knowledge of adult learning theories and training methodologies. Advanced training skills with ability to reach learners at all levels. Advanced verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Advanced presentations skills including ability to facilitate classroom, on-line and one-on-one training. Advanced ability to comprehend and translate technical and / or functional manuals and instructions. Advanced ability to develop, draft and adapt curriculum. Ability to coordinate multiple priorities. Ability to troubleshoot PC and Epic issues. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet, and other systems.
