Under direction of the supervision of a registered nurse in the assigned department reporting to the Practice Manager, performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity. This includes prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient procedures, administering medications, point of care testing, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, and patient education. The successful candidate will have experience working in fast pace ambulatory procedural setting. Position requires initiative, ability to prioritize critical demands, attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment, maintains positive relationships with patients, family members, other visitors, and fellow employees. Job standards are to be performed at the expert level. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the state of California. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date. A minimum of two (2) years of LVN experience. Requires knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.
