Under supervision, the Staff Research Coordinator coordinates the neurocognitive research efforts for the Neurocognition of Stress and Anxiety Research Laboratory and Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Disorders Research Center within the Department of Psychiatry. The incumbent will the Enhancing Transdiagnostic Mechanisms of Cognitive Dyscontrol (ETMeD) study by coordinating the day-to-day operations of the study. Duties and responsibilities include updates, maintenance, and coordination of several databases, eligibility screening of potential subjects, administration of structured clinical interviews, administering experimental protocols involving the collection of symptom, fMRI, and behavioral data, preparing summaries for institutional review board and funding agency progress reports. Responsibilities also include administration, scoring, and coding of standardized neuropsychological tests and analysis and preprocessing of neuroimaging data. Perform other project and miscellaneous duties as needed.
Qualifications
Theoretical knowledge of psychiatry, psychology, or related field with Bachelor's degree in psychology or social sciences. Demonstrated experience using database software including Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Eprime. Demonstrated experience with using iPads and apps. Demonstrated experience performing research duties in a clinical research environment and coordinating research studies. Demonstrated experience with following a research protocol in order to initiate study procedures, and collect data. Demonstrated experience with collecting sensitive information and communicating effectively while maintaining confidentiality. Demonstrated experience administering computerized and paper assessments and self-report questionnaires. Proven effective interpersonal skill and oral/written communication skill, including the ability to administer face-to-face experimental protocols and keep accurate and detailed records. Proven skills to organize and prioritize workload. Proven ability to administer clinical symptom surveys, screening interviews, and structured diagnosed psychiatric interviews. Must be able to maintain confidentially. Demonstrated knowledge of MRI and Mock Scan procedures and MRI safety. Proven ability to maintain current MRI Safety Training and Certification through Center for Translational Imaging and Precision Medicine Proven ability to work with minimal direction and work collaboratively with the research team and investigators. Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to work in a changing, multiple-demand setting in order to prioritize a large volume of work and meet deadlines efficiently and accurately. Demonstrated knowledge of standardized computer and experiment-delivered neuropsychological tests. Demonstrated knowledge of neuroimaging quality metrics and processing steps Theoretical knowledge of brain structure and function. Demonstrated experience managing regulatory documentation of participant flow the study procedures and coordinate data monitor reporting. Demonstrated experience with data writing and managing syntax code using SPSS or R for subject data.
