About this position
Position Description
Under general supervision, the Orthopedic Technologist for the Orthopedic Cast Room provides all casting services ordered by the physician which includes fracture reductions, casting / taping / splinting, extremity ulcer debriding, joint aspiration, suture removal, crutch / cane training and supportive hardware adjustments, brace fitting and application. Assists with teaching for the Cast Room to students, residents, and community professionals. Provides care for both inpatients and outpatients. Performs other related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Experience as an Orthopedic Technologist Graduate of a NAOT certified program (National Association of Orthopedic Technologists). BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within 6 months of hire date.
