The nurse is expected to practice in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. All performance expectations associated with this position are performed at the PRACTITIONER level. Floor/triage nurse in high risk Perinatology clinic. Responsible for triage calls, all floor nurse duties, administering medications, injections, ordering supplies/medication. Cross coverage for antenatal testing. Overseeing Medical Assistant staff.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing. RN License issued by the State of California. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date. Minimum of two (2) years of Labor and Delivery RN experience, including experience within the past year. At least six (6) months of Antenatal Testing RN experience in a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) practice or fetal assessment unit. Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification (AWHONN) - may have Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification but must obtain Advanced within three (3) months of hire. Limited OB Ultrasound Certification upon hire or obtain within six (6) months of hire. Must have excellent communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
