About this position

Position Description

Applies professional concepts and acquired skills with clinical image management systems to projects of small to medium size and scope. Operates independently within defined scope of responsibilities. Responsibilities include: Designs, implements, debugs and evaluates moderately complex software, hardware and / or databases. Performs file management, data integrity, workflow and data integration activities. Works with end users to troubleshoot moderately complex problems and apply effective solutions. Identifies and escalates support issues as appropriate. Follows protocol to accurately document problem support. Provides support to project teams. Documents work and prepares small to medium scope reports as assigned. Participates in end-user training on systems issues of limited complexity. Contributes to the development of customized training tools, system documentation and project / policy communication. Stays up-to-date on regulations and technological advancements in clinical imaging. Makes recommendations for improvements and tools to optimize the use and storage of clinical images.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training Two (2) or more years of Radiology Digital/Film Library experience in a hospital setting, Three (3) plus years preferred. Working knowledge of clinical image operations, clinical imaging systems and processes and practices involved with managing, storing, and transferring medical images. Working knowledge and skills in relevant hardware, software and / or database administration, including development, implementation, maintenance, user support, and system testing and evaluation. Detail oriented, with demonstrated ability to manage time, prioritize and complete tasks, and consistently meet deadlines. Demonstrated communications skills to effectively train and support end users. Problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose problems and identify effective resolutions. Working knowledge of documentation protocols, with demonstrated analytical skills to test and evaluate system performance.
