The Koman Family Outpatient Pavilion is an outpatient clinical facility on UC San Diego Health's La Jolla campus. The facility includes eight surgery suites, basic and advanced imaging, physical therapy and pain management, plus infusion and apheresis services. The four-floor, 156,000-square-foot facility opened in March of 2018. Under the supervision of the Pain Procedure Suite Nurse Manager, the Clinical Nurse performs and coordinates patient check-in, Intra Pain Management Procedure duties for non-sedation and sedation procedures, recovery of patients who have received non-sedated and sedation procedures. The nurse will assist with performance improvement projects and provides patient/family education. Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. While not required, a cover letter is highly recommended when applying to this position.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing. RN License issued by the State of California. BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date. Must have a minimum of six (6) months of active nursing experience. Previous experience recovering patients from non-sedated and sedation procedures. Previous Procedural experience. Moderate sedation experience with commitment to get Moderate Sedation certification within six (6) months of hire date.
