About this position
Position Description
Under general supervision, performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures; performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Serves as a technical resource for customers and other staff. Adheres to all safety policies. Performs other related CLS functions as required. The Rapid Response Lab provides services to Jacobs Medical Center, Moore’s Cancer, and other outpatient areas. A CLS performs patient testing and works in subspecialty areas of the laboratory - Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Blood Gas.
Qualifications
Graduation from college with a major in a relevant field. Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or appropriate sub-specialty license issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health. Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of duties assigned to the position.
