Position Description
The UCLA Department of Public Policy is receiving applications until open positions are filled as dictated by departmental needs for part-time lectureships (Non-Senate) during Summer Sessions and the academic year. Responsibilities include teaching; conducting regularly scheduled office hours; and writing and grading papers/exams. Ability to work cooperatively with other faculty and department staff is essential. We welcome candidates who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, who demonstrate commitment to improving access to higher education for disadvantaged students, and whose experience in teaching, research or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence. Appointments are generally made by quarter for the following term dates as follows: • Summer (various session start dates): June-September • Fall: October 1 - December 31 • Winter: January 1 - March 31 • Spring: April 1 - June 30 See Table 15 Unit 18 Faculty (Pre-Six Year Lecturers) for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is at an annual salary range $73,107 to $87,294, which will then be prorated due to teaching workload based on appointment percentage. Qualifications
Basic qualificationsEducation, training, professional experience, or other forms of proven expertise in the subject matter to be covered by the course; evidence of experience and success with teaching and other forms of presenting the relevant substantive material to audiences comparable to students taking the course.
