Position title: Assistant Adjunct Professor Salary range: The posted UC Salary Scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The salary range for this position is $121,900-$142,300. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position Description

The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is seeking candidates for Assistant Adjunct Professor positions. The candidates are expected to participate in research on the neuro-immune-vascular interface in arterial stiffness. Additional research will focus on the role of exercise in the mouse cardiovascular system's response to stress. A working knowledge of medical and vascular biology is required. The candidates will also work in collaboration with Tzung Hsiai, M.D., Ph.D. Designing and performing experiments, as well as presenting results in publications and at meetings, are expected. The candidates will be required to teach medical students, residents, fellows, and postdoctoral fellows in the laboratory setting. A Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, physiology, or vascular biology is required.
