Position Description
The Department of Economics in the UCLA College of Letters and Sciences invites highly qualified applicants for non-senate positions as Lecturers for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a non-tenure track appointment. Lectureship appointments are part-time and made quarter by quarter, as dictated by instructional needs. Responsibilities will include teaching (lecture, regularly scheduled office hours, writing and grading exams, etc.). Qualified candidates must have a significant number of years of teaching experience, a demonstrated record of excellent undergraduate teaching or proven expertise in the following specializations: industrial organization, economics of law, and finance. Candidates are expected to have a master’s degree in economics or comparable sophistication. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 15. The salary range for this position is $70,977-$79,887. This position is represented by the University Council – American Federation of Teachers: Contract | UCnet .
